Prospective YieldQuest Select® Firms

Just as your firm spends some time up-front with prospective clients to determine if there is a “fit”, so we too engage in what we call a “dual due-diligence” process. Because we are looking for much longer term relationships, we want to make sure that there is the potential for good fit between our firms. That being said, there is a process we have established that aids both of us in determining if a relationship between our respective firms makes sense. Some of these steps include:

  • Initial dialogue with prospective client
  • Series of phone meetings between YQ senior staff and decision makers at prospective firm
  • Prospective firm to review the YQ portal, review previous conference calls and YQ strategy pieces
  • Prospective firm to attend YQ conference calls
  • Prospective firm fills out YQ client questionnaire
  • Final phone meeting with YQ senior staff and decision makers at prospective firm, to answer final questions regarding client questionnaire, etc.
  • Discuss road map for implementation of YQ strategies, and how YQ can help you with the process with regards to both new and existing clients.

Due to the fact that we are limiting access to our ideas and products to roughly 250 advisors across the country, we are looking for clients who, over time, will view us as a true business partner rather than simply a vendor. In addition, we are looking for advisors who are willing to discuss a path for implementation of YieldQuest strategies with regards to meeting our minimums, and growing from that point forward. In fact, we have found that our longest most successful advisor relationships all share some similar characteristics. Let’s examine some of these, so you may get a sense for what we believe provides for a mutually beneficial business partnership:

  • Advisors who would welcome a true business partner, rather than simply “another vendor”
  • Advisors who may be looking for new ways to add value to client portfolios and/or their business in general.
  • Open-mindedness and the desire to explore new opportunities or new approaches to managing assets.
  • Willingness to participate in YieldQuest conference calls, take some time in reviewing our Portal on a regular basis so as to keep abreast of our views and strategies, etc.
  • Keep regular and open lines of communication with us, and specifically, communication on a regular basis between firm principals.

We look forward to showing you how a relationship with YieldQuest may benefit your clients and your firm.
